This course provides the training required to competently and safely utilise breathing gases containing helium for dives that require staged decompression, utilising nitrox and/or oxygen mixtures during decompression to a maximum depth of 60 metres in conditions similar to or better than the assessment conditions.

Course out line:

• Determine the appropriate trimix gas for planned dives
• Determine appropriate diving equipment for planned trimix dives
• Plan dives based in established limits and cautions for trimix gases
• Analyse and verify trimix gases for diving

Prerequisites:

• Minimum of 18 years old at the time of the course
• PSAI nitrox 40% qualification or equivalent
• A minimum of 50 logged dives and at least 10 of them between 27 metres to 40 metres
