The water was breaking-bad-crystal-meth-blue, the fish life vivid and colourful. I was hooked and have been recreational diving ever since – that was 1996 ?
One of the first questions non-divers ask me is, “where is your favourite place in the world to dive?” The simple answer is anywhere there is water! In the past twenty five years I have dived Barbados, Florida, every coast line of the UK and especially the Sound of Mull and Skye, Scapa, Malta, Gibraltar, Cyprus, Egypt, South Africa, Mozambique and Thailand. Each and every dive (around 1000) is etched in my mind, helped by the 1000’s of photos I have taken, and the memories of the friends and dive professionals met along the way.
I have been a rebreather diver for the past five years and also enjoy open circuit diving with my wife, three boys and non-CCR diving mates.
My 50’th birthday trip of a lifetime to Chuuk lagoon was COVID suspended until 2022, but I cannot wait…!!
