Ever since I first watched Jaws I have had a fascination with sharks and particularly great whites. For years I was envious of the rich and famous who had the opportunity to explore the underwater world and dive with these majestic creatures. It was not until 2007 that I realised that SCUBA was a sport accessible to all and booked myself on PADI Open Water course in Dahab, Egypt.
Once underwater I was hooked and progressed immediately on to my PADI Advanced Open Water, allowing me the experience of diving the world famous wreck of the Thistlegorm for my first ever non-instructed dive! I have since dived all around the world but UK wreck diving is a firm favourite. The cooler water and poorer visibility make every dive an exciting new adventure (even if you have dived the same dive many times before)!
Hopefully 2021 means lots of diving . . . preferably salty sea diving when possible! With trips to the Philippines and Scapa Flow currently booked.
